Greetings! I'm Dennis Escolástico (he/him), an ecologist passionate about analyzing biodiversity patterns. I use cutting-edge methods like genotyping-by-sequencing and metabarcoding to unravel hidden diversity from genes to ecological interactions. My scientific journey has taken me from tropical forests to subarctic tundra. Beyond academia, I like immersing myself in diverse cultures, languages and enriching experiences.
I am working as a postdoctoral researcher at the Laurentian Forestry Center in Québec. My projects focus on understanding how plant-microbial interactions affect soil microbial diversity in a restoration context.
